Anime Series to Watch

 I am a huge anime fan; I devour various mediums of the genre, ranging from television to manga constantly. My favorite anime shows includes some old school stuff, but are universally enjoyed for their unusual stories, neat artistry and on spot plot points.

 One of my all-time favorites, is an anime series called Cowboy Bebop. It has everything you could ever want in an anime series; spaceships, bounty hunters, drama, angst, everything! The characters are extremely colorful and there is always a bit of action to really get your blood pumping. Cowboy Bebop is seriously badass.  

Now, I know everyone is not gonna agree, but Ghost in the Shell is really worth your time and energy. I will admit that it doesn’t pull you in straight away, yet, once you invest in it, it’s actually one of the most memorable anime series out there. The main character of the series is cyborg who used to be a cop. The show questions what makes you human, with the main character navigating a futuristic reality set against a pretty nifty metropolis backdrop.

 

 Full Metal Alchemists is truly an awesome series. It’s so unique and action packed, with this crazy introspection on transmutation, the seven deadly sins and a whole hosts of crazy interesting concepts and ideas. If you have to watch an anime series this weekend, this should definitely be one of them.

 

 Another killer series is Ghost Hunt. Oh MY GOD! When I first saw it, I immediately became hooked. I will say it's creepy as fuck, but if you like paranormal stuff, this is right up your alley. Will definitely spook you. This anime series takes place in modern Japan, and follows a small group of supernatural hunters/detectives/WTF crew comprised of a miko, a Buddhist priest, a Catholic priest, and three other characters. The group basically hunt down super natural beings that haunt the living. Each episode is like an hour long and typically focuses on a single case. The show’s writers do an excellent job of creating interesting characters with rich and entertaining backstories. This has to be my favorite so far for paranormal anime.

 

 One of the best newer anime series of late is Attack on Titan. This series is hands down my favorite, with its incredible story line, brutality and just plain straight up craziness. It's a whole new take on crazy. Love it. Love the characters. This series just blew my mind and I think I may have a slight addiction problem because I will watch this series anytime, anywhere. Attack on Titan is just the best anime ever. Don't take my word on this; go watch it yourself.
