Voyager 1 is going where no man-made artifact has gone before; right out of our solar system and into the cold of open space. Reminiscent of the voyage V'Ger must have taken (have to be somewhat of a Trekkie to get this reference), Voyager is taking a one way trip on the magnetic highway to infinity. Who would have thought that a 1977 space craft with way less data storage than an iphone would make it to the edges of our solar system. Science is amazing...reminds me of a poem by English Poet Alfred Lord Tennyson which reads:
Is this . . . A time to sicken
and to swoon, When
Science reaches forth her
arms, To feel from world to
world, and charms her secret
from the latest moon?
