Game of Thrones: The Magic is Back!

I just finished the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, and I have to say, all the uncertainty I felt about the direction of the show has dissipated. 

This episode relied entirely on excellent story telling rather than rape and sadism. This episode brought back the magic that I originally fell in love with when I first was introduced to Ned Stark all those years ago. This episode didn't try to cover weak and lazy writing with perky boobs and weak dialogue. Instead, I witnessed A+ acting by Kit Harington as he battled White Walkers and their legions of undead. I watched a mother sacrifice herself for her children and people. I watched Daenerys make an excellent decision and do some entertaining verbal sparring with Tyrion Lannister. I watched a giant go berserk and run fearfully from White Walker magic. I saw pure genius. 

Thanks David Benioff and D. B. Weiss for bringing back the magic, for not showing a second of unnecessary full frontal, or some act of sexual violence, or boring plot point. Thanks for just writing your asses off.
