Best New Guy in Nerdom: Torrance Coombs

He's tall, dark and handsome, plays the hell out of roles, and has eyes that are INSANE! At 31 years old, Torrance Coombs is making a name for himself in television. Hailing from Canada, Coombs has spent the last 7-8 years playing a variety of roles, ranging from dashing young gentlemen in historical dramas/fantasies (Tudors), to sassy vampire familiars (The Familiar). His work in science fiction included roles on Battlestar Galactica and Haven. Currently, he stars in the hugely popular show, Reign, a historical fantasy drama that follows the story of Mary Queen of Scots. 

 

Coombs' work proves that he would be perfect for fantasy work (think Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings), as he has already proved that he can swing a sword and ride a horse like a badass. His scene stealing acting ability, and his charismatic portrayal of sometimes questionable characters makes him someone to watch in the world of film/television Nerdom. Torrance Coombs, we want to see more of you!
